Behind Ultimate Stays is a small team with a big passion for New Zealand holidays. We’re locals who know the regions we represent from Queenstown’s alpine landscapes to the tranquil Marlborough Sounds and we bring that knowledge into every booking and property we manage.

Meet Jo Silverthorn

Queenstown, Picton and Marlborough Holiday Accommodation

Hi! I’m Jo Silverthorn and I’m the Managing Director of Ultimate Stays Limited. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, I came to New Zealand for a 6 month working holiday, and have now lived in this beautiful country since 1986! I’m a trusted and friendly person with very high property management standards. Presentation, cleanliness and taking care of holiday home properties is my priority. My team and I look after everything in regards to managing the property. We do all the work so our clients and guests can relax and know that everything is taken care of.

My personal point of difference is that I offer exceptional customer service and I look after every property as if it was my own. I communicate with my clients and make myself available when required. I make sure the guests are looked after and have regular communication with them during their stay. I’ve been a 5 star SuperHost since 2014 and can offer a complete piece of mind, trust & safety.

Since arriving from London to this stunning country in 1996, I have spent over twenty years running businesses that focus on service and creating a memorable and welcoming experience for my clients. I have run private functions, large public events and business conferences as well as operating Maison de Crepe, a boutique French-inspired hospitality venue for eight years. I have a reputation for attention to detail, visually beautiful locations and high standards of cleanliness and presentation. I enjoy building long term relationships with my clients and love nothing more than seeing their happy faces time and time again. I now am bringing my skills and experience to Ultimate Stays – launching this long-standing brand with impeccably high standards into Christchurch, a city I love and am proud to live in.
